Target Components Appointed Official Seasonic Distributor
Target Components has been appointed official UK distributor for one of the world's largest dedicated PSU manufacturers, Sea Sonic. The distributor now has access to the entire catalogue of Seasonic PC power supplies including the award-winning PRIME TX range designed for high-end gaming rigs, overclocked systems, and professional enterprise workstations, as well as revamped additions like the CORE GX Series.
Sea Sonic is a globally recognised power supply brand with a long-standing reputation for electrical performance, reliability, and conservative engineering. Seasonic power supplies are widely trusted by enthusiasts, system builders, and professional users for their consistency, low RMA rates, and adherence to emerging standards.
The appointment comes as Sea Sonic continues to push PSU efficiency standards, becoming the first manufacturer to achieve the new 80 PLUS® Ruby certification with its PRIME ENTERPRISE RX-1600. The new certification level represents the highest tier of the 80 PLUS® program and the first one to require high efficiency even at 5% load, not just at the traditional 20/50/100% points. This high level of efficiency is particularly relevant for high-performance and professional environments with multiple workstations, including education, government, healthcare and office deployments, where energy consumption and long-term operating costs can be important considerations.
Kelly Coxon, Purchasing Manager at Target Components, commented: 'We are delighted to have been appointed official distributor by Sea Sonic - a fantastic addition to our growing roster of globally recognised brands, which also adds to our PC building capabilities. Seasonic is trusted by resellers and users across the globe, not least for its reliability and long warranty periods.'
Sea Sonic's European Territory Manager, Ray Milton, added: ‘We are extremely impressed with the breadth and depth of Target's customer base of system builders and resellers. These customers are, more and more, demanding reliable power supplies across the board, whether for business and home PCs or for gaming, prosumer and enterprise builds. The Sea Sonic range addresses all those demands and, thanks to Target's proactive and enthusiastic culture, we believe it will be a welcome addition to both their fast-growing business and Sea Sonic's.'

Great to see Target Components expanding their portfolio with Seasonic’s high-efficiency PSUs—especially the PRIME ENTERPRISE RX-1600 hitting 80 PLUS® Ruby certification. That kind of low-load efficiency is a game-changer for workstations in professional environments. Speaking of precision in performance, it’s similar to how tools like the Matcha Filter Remover photo tool carefully correct color imbalances, restoring natural tones without overprocessing—important when every detail matters.
Seasonic has a long-standing reputation for manufacturing some of the most reliable power supplies on the market, so having Target Components appointed as an official distributor will make sourcing their inventory much smoother. When I take a short breather from reading IT trade news, tracking hardware supply chains, and keeping up with component releases, I like to pop over to galacasino to unwind and clear my head for a few minutes.
The 80 PLUS Ruby certification on that Seasonic PRIME ENTERPRISE is a big deal for energy costs. Anyone building high-end rigs should check out this new distribution for the full catalog, especially since colony flow makes it easier to compare those top-tier options.
