BULLGUARD EXPANDS WITH TWO EXECUTIVE HIRES

BULLGUARD EXPANDS GLOBAL FOOTPRINT WITH TWO SENIOR EXECUTIVE HIRES IN SILICON VALLEY AND ISRAEL

Appointments Mark Significant Era of Growth for Award-Winning Cybersecurity Company as It Invests Heavily in IoT Security R&D, New Product Development and Global eCommerce Sales

SAN FRANCISCO and TEL AVIV – JULY 24, 2018 – BullGuard (https://www.bullguard.com/), a market leader in consumer cybersecurity, today announced the appointment of two experienced senior executives to its global team. Nat Maple, a 20+ year veteran of high-growth enterprise companies, has joined as general manager of eCommerce and new products based in Silicon Valley. Asaf Livne, a seasoned expert with nearly two decades of experience in cybersecurity research and development (R&D) has been appointed as vice president of IoT R&D, based in the BullGuard Israel office, the company’s headquarters for its Dojo by BullGuard IoT security products. BullGuard has achieved significant growth over the course of the past year, increasing its international workforce by 30 percent and rolling out a new, comprehensive, enterprise-grade cybersecurity solution for Communication Service Providers (CSPs), the Dojo IoT Security Intelligent Platform.

"As BullGuard continues to grow, enhancing the BullGuard team with seasoned leaders who will help us maintain our technical leadership and product expertise at the necessary global scale is critical," said Paul Lipman, CEO of BullGuard. "Nat's business acumen and Asaf's technical expertise will be indispensable as we look to the next phase of our international growth, unveil new and exciting partnerships, and leverage our deep R&D capabilities to bring new products to market."

Maple, who has more than two decades of strategic business experience and ran Symantec’s billion dollar plus global eCommerce business earlier in his career, will head all new product go-to-market activities, and oversee the company’s online presence and revenues.

“Even with the rise of cyber attacks in recent years, most people still don’t consider a security solution until aftertheir information has been hacked,” said Maple. “As worldwide connectivity continues to grow at a rapid pace it’s important for consumers to understand that internet security, privacy and smart home protection doesn’t need to be complicated or expensive. I look forward to helping BullGuard further cement its position as a market leader in consumer cybersecurity as the threat landscape continues to evolve.”

BullGuard acquired smart home security pioneer Dojo Labs in 2016 and has since experienced tremendous growth, increasing its talent in the BullGuard Israel office by 400 percent. In 2017, BullGuard began shipping Dojo by BullGuard, the world’s most comprehensive smart home cybersecurity solution for consumers, and last month expanded its offering to include an IoT network scanner for both consumers and CSPs.

Livne, a cybersecurity R&D expert, spent a decade at Check Point Software Technologies and boasts a wealth of experience in the internet security industry, where he developed and scaled world-class software security products, deliveries and processes. Throughout his career, Livne has managed large development teams and has been integral in driving the execution of market leading security products. Reporting to Yossi Atias, Dojo founder and General Manager, IoT Security of BullGuard, Livne will play a key role in Dojo by BullGuard’s innovation roadmap, helping to drive the development of Dojo’s Intelligent Platform for CSPs during the company’s high-growth phase.

“Gartner predicts that by 2020 there will be over 20 billion smart devices connected to networks. It’s clear that as an industry, we need to be doing much more to help people secure their everyday lives,” said Livne. “BullGuard has the technology, talent and vision to transform how consumers and CSPs manage the security of their data and privacy. I’m excited to join the Dojo by BullGuard team and to be part of this mission-critical journey.”

BullGuard has three main offices including Redwood City, California, Bucharest, Romania and Herzliya, Israel. In total, the company has over 150 employees across seven countries who serve BullGuard’s global customer base and more than 2,000 channel partners spanning 198 countries.
