Introduction :
If you are a "fan" of RGB lights.....grab a chair and get comfy! Today I will be testing not one but two Akasa fans today. Now I know what you are thinking, why two? Well, as similar as they are, there are differences and I thought a side by side comparison was in order.
the Akasa Vegas TL and TLY are some styling and profiling fans. However, I want to give them a proper workout to see how they handle life in the fast lane. It's getting hot in here! Will Akasa "cool it" or will they "just blow hot air"? This and more as you read on in this edition of Tech For Techs.

The Vegas TL is a 14cm twin loop, dual-sided fan featuring 27 RGB LED nodes which are embedded in the LED light diffuser within the fan frame. The diffusers are on both sides of the fan which provide striking system illumination in different angles to show limitless colour combinations in the RGB spectrum. Coupled with its frosted translucent blades to provide maximum brightness and are engineered for low noise. Certified and compatible with RGB software from Asrock, Asus, Gigabyte and MSI.
Vegas TLY (AK-FN103) is a twin loop dual-sided cooling fan with addressable RGB. The RGB LEDs are split amongst an inner loop and outer loop, creating striking system illumination from various angles. Colour customisation options are limitless with certification by RGB motherboard software offered by ASUS Aura Sync, MSI Mystic Light Sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion Ready and ASRock Polychrome SYNC. The fan blades are engineered for low noise, and rubber dampening pads around the corners reduce fan vibrating noise for quiet cooling. Packaging:
The packaging is not only attractive, but it is also practical. We have a hanger for the retailers who may have either slat walls or a special rack for this sort of thing. The box is really classy and the pictures look awesome! The Akasa logo is easy to see as is the model and description. On the back, we have the specs, a breakdown of the box contents and a small diagram that explains the dynamics of your fan. This product will really stand out and appeal to people of all ages as well as all kinds of users.
Unboxing:
Inside we have the fan, 3 to 4 pin adapter, mounting screws and either an RGB LED adapter (in the TLY) or an LED adapter cable (in the TL)
Installation:
You can connect the fan directly to the motherboard with the 3 pin fan connector or via a Molex connection with the included adapter. The RGB connects up to the motherboard RGB header (or RGB controller if using one).

In testing the TL and TLY had the same scores. Stands to reason as they are the same fan with different lights. Running idle for 30 minutes, the temperatures for both fans were at 32°C. After a 30 minutes CPU stress test average, the fans ran at 55°C and after the CPU running high-stress test over 30 minutes the temperatures were 62° C This puts them bang in the middle of their competitors on all tests. I should mention the only fan to do better in the High-stress test was the P140, it tied with the Xilence. The only one to beat it in the average test was the P140, it tied with the Xilence and the Sythe and on the idle test it tied with Antec, and Scythe but was not beaten. Overall these fans perform well and they look great. I would recommend them!

Conclusion:
The fans performed well and both look great. The temperatures in tests were very acceptable. They will look good in your rig as well as keep it comfortable. That's what a good fan should do. I'm confident you will be pleased with either of these should you choose them.
