Introduction :
To a gamer, the three main components of the computer with most relevance are: The CPU, The RAM, and the GPU. Why? Because if just one of these is not up to par, the whole gaming experience is not what it could be. When you have a graphics card that is not good enough for the game you are playing you must try to adjust the in-game settings and turn things off like shadows etc that make the game look good. If you don’t, you are subject to crashes and lag. Translation….the game becomes a chore, and the computer becomes a door stop. So, today we are talking about the AFOX 1050 ti. We are going to see how it does, read on to find out more!

The GeForce GTX 1050Ti is an incredibly well-regarded entry level graphics card aimed squarely at the casual gaming market, however despite the budget price, the power and adaptability of the AFOX GTX1050TI alongside the affordable price, gives this card the ability to be used for all kinds of media work, such as video and photo editing, alongside other graphically heavy design applications. Despite the low cost, the AFOX card manages to include many features typically seen in higher end cards, such as a dual fan custom cooling design, DisplayPort, HDMI and DVI outputs and compatibility with Nvidia’s 3D Vision technology, allowing multi-monitor gaming on a single card. All of the performance of other GTX1050Ti graphics cards, just without the high price tag.

Packaging:
The packaging is clear, to the point and the graphics are better looking than some of the premium brands out there. But, it looks like a generic box where they change the sticker depending on the model they put inside. However, if their mission was to avoid having to print more than they need and reduce their carbon footprint, good idea. It keeps their cards in a standardized format as well.
Unboxing:
The graphics card was in anti static bubble wrap and an anti static sleeve. You have the molex to 6 pin connector, driver disk, and quick install guide. *we recommend you always download the latest drivers from the website for best results*
Installation:
Very easy to install....simply slip into the PCI express lane, attach the 6 pin PSU connector and install the drivers

In testing Over Clocked and un-Over Clocked, fan speed automatic settings, the temperature did not exceed 52°…in lay terms, the cooling is extremely good and if you adjust your fans to a higher setting you would get even better readings, not that you should need to.
3D Mark Time Spy (default settings) 2557 on average compared to Gigabyte 1050 ti 2549 on average and 3° higher in temperatures. In all honesty, scores were close, so it is within margin of error but still the Gigabyte temperature was higher.
OC
We managed to OC the card to +182 Mhz on the core clock and +659 to the memory clock. Any higher or playing about with the core voltage would cause a driver crash.
With that OC we were able to boost the 3D score to 2756 which is a 8% increase in performance and that is nothing to sneeze about.

In games, depending on what you play, we find that it will run well on Medium settings fine.
The 1050 ti is a mid level bracket card and very affordable for entry level gamers. So, for someone new to gaming that is not wanting to splash out on a top in card or that can not afford the top in stuff, this is a great starter. It would do well with a i3 processor or better. You might get away with it on a Pentium but, you would most likely not enjoy it as much as you would if it were i3 and up.

Conclusion:
So, if you are looking for a decent card for entry level gaming and you are not worried about all of the singing and dancing of RGB, or beefy fans so much as price...this is the card for you. The AFOX kept cool in tests without missing a beat on performance. I would recommend it in one of my own builds. --- Jenni
AFOX may not be as well known as other hardware vendors on the market, but they have been around for a few years. The AFOX 1050TI 4GB Graphics card does what it is supposed to do without any extras that you probably did not want anyway. There are no fancy RGB lights, or over the top styling, and the plastic fan blades seem to be lower quality than others we have seen. But, saying that, the card ran very cool, even when overclocked in our Cooler Master H500 System it did not exceed 52°c. Overall this is a good card that comes with a 3 year (Return to Base) warranty, I have no issues using these in our own systems. --- Phil

It has to be the value for money. It is at the end of the day a 1050 ti and at a price you can afford.

It would be nice if the box could open up so you could view the card inside like some mice do.

As for style, it would have been better if the back of the PCB to have a molded plastic shroud *we understand this was probably done to keep costs down though* and on the front to have more thought put into it *beefy looking and less thin plastic look*
